Barflex Polyfilms Private limited (Barflex), is a leading innovation driven flexible packaging company with solutions focused on Processed Food Industry and Industrial Packaging sector. The company manufactures 5-layer films, 3 layer films, PVC Labels and Laminates. That are widely utilized across its target segments.

Barflex, promoted by Mr. Jaiwant Bery, a seasoned entrepreneur in flexible packaging, and Mrs. Nomita Bery, commenced commercial production in November 2005 and reached its full capacity utilization within 4 months of it's operation.

Mr. Jaiwant Bery, an alumnus of IIM Bangalore, had set up Hitkari Industries Limited in 1994 that supplied technical packaging films and laminates for Food processing & Industrial applications. As it's Managing Director, he successfully sold the Hitkari Packaging IPO in 1995 which was oversubscribed 14.5 times. The company had a net worth of INR 350 million when Mr. Bery left to start Barflex Polyfilms Private limited.

Mr. Bery's 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur enabled Barflex to grow rapidly by continuously expanding capacities under various expansion phases and build a portfolio of prestigious clients. Within a short span of just 5 years, the company has added, retained & increase wallet-share in household brands including Reliance Retail, Pantaloon Retail, Pioma Industries (Rasna), Pidilite Industries, Bunge India (Dalda), Mahesh Edible Oil Ltd, Amrit Banaspati Co. Ltd.

Barflex has the latest state of art machinery imported from Germany, China, Taiwan and extensive process checks at each stage which have been developed with the cooperation of their technical associates, Micris Australia. The association gives benefits of imbibing technology & best practices of a global leader. Micris is also committed to developing Barflex as their manufacturing hub for global sales.

Jaiwant Bery is credited with development of pouch for edible oils that is now an industry norm, and pouch for paints & varnishes. He is one of the three Indian members of DuPont Packaging Technology Council, an invitation only platform that gives immense leverage on product trends and marketing.

Currently the company:
  • Has tie-up with Micris group of companies for marketing their high barrier laminates to the processed food industry in Australia, New Zealand, USA & Europe.
  • Has an exclusive arrangement with DuPont for exclusive manufacturer & sale of speciality SURLYN Skin Packaging films in India, utilised in Automotives, Hand-tools, Ferrites and Electricals.
  • Holds the IS/ISO 9001 : 2008 certification which was awarded in March 2009.
